What is hypnosis, how does it work and what can I experience during a session? all of your questions are answered in a concise manner by a seasoned hypnotherapist.
What is it?
Hypnotherapy is simply a therapeutic approach in which we use hypnosis to achieve your goal. As a hypnotherapist, Yasmine works on vocational and avocational self-improvement, or under medical, dental, or psychological referral. Hypnosis is very effective in: changing unwanted habits; increasing willpower; overcoming fears and phobias; dealing with procrastination, anxiety, and stress; changing re-occurring patterns in your life; and
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Our mind has two important parts: the conscious and the subconscious. The power of hypnosis lay in the ability to directly reach the subconscious mind, allowing the input of beneficial suggestions. Imagine what it would be like if 100% of your total mind power was working for you! Imagine what it would be like to feel free, relieved, and to step out of the dark and into the light, using this powerful tool to your advantage.
Hypnosis is nothing to be afraid of; it is actually a very pleasant, natural state of being, and has been used in different cultures for thousands of years. When in hypnosis, you are aware of what is happening, therefore remaining in full control. Personally-tailored positive suggestions are given directly to your subconscious mind. People find hypnotherapy a very comfortable, relaxing experience, with the pleasant side effect of seeing positive changes in their behavior and life.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT?
During the first session I explain how hypnosis works and how we are going to use it to make the changes you desire. The first session will be about 1.5 hours long , at no additional cost, so I can get a good picture of what is driving your mind and body. Subsequent sessions are 50 minutes ( also known as a therapeutic hour).
There is no questioning while in hypnosis, no big secrets will be revealed. In fact hypnosis is really all about giving you control. Control of your mind and body. Before the hypnotic part we will talk cognitively and once we're entering the hypnotic state I will point out every step along the way so you can follow perfectly.
You will hear every word I say, even though your mind may drift to unrelated things or thoughts just like that can happen during any conversation or activity in life. Hypnosis is experienced differently by different people but the general consensus is that it is a pleasant, comfortable, relaxing feeling or experience. It is a natural state, no dangers, you can not get stuck in it, you go through hypnosis at least twice a day naturally, it is simply part of our mechanism.
